There's nothing like a spa break to fully relax and treat yourself. Myself and my friend Debbie jetted off to Belfast, Ireland to see if the Galgorm Resort & Spa really lived it up to it's amazing reviews - and WOW, does it exceed them! I have visited a lot of spas in the past, and they just don't even come close to this incredible place. Head below to see all my snaps...

When we arrived at Galgorm, it was so much more amazing than I ever imagined. The grounds are simply stunning, with a beautiful river running through it and pretty flowers, bridges, and cute swings dotted around. If you can book a River View room, I would definitely recommend you do this! It's such a beautiful view from your room (above) and it's so lovely to wake up listening to the sound of the river. The first thing we done when we checked in, was head to the spa for their new Quartz Serenity Ritual massage. WOW!

This is a brand new treatment they have introduced to Galgorm Spa, and I have to say I have never been more relaxed throughout a massage in my life. You lie on a bed of warm quartz sand, which is then moulded to your body shape and the therapist uses hot sand bags to massage oil into your body. It was absolutely amazing and she managed to relieve all the tension and knots in my shoulders too! It's such a lovely experience, and one you definitely need to try if you're visiting this spa. It's like nothing you've ever tried before!

We were lucky enough to be greeted with beautiful sunshine when we arrived in Belfast, which was just the icing ontop of the cake. Outside you'll find hot-tubs, a jacuzzi pool, as well as a sauna and steam room, so it was amazing to be blessed with gorgeous weather. We managed to sunbathe and relax while looking onto the most scenic grounds. If you fancy a cocktail in the afternoon - or midday, who's judging? - then definitely head to the Orangery. You can order your favourite cocktail and sit on a cute swing to drink it!

We stayed for one night, but I really wished we would've stayed for two. It's the most perfect mini-break as there's so much to see and do here. There are three restaurants - an Italian, Fratelli, which we ate in for dinner and it was *so* nice. A Grill restaurant, Gillies, and The River Room. I would definitely go back and try this restaurant for dinner as everybody raves about it - just make sure you book your table in advance. After you've finished your meal, you can head to Gillies bar where they had an amazing singer who also played guitar. He was brilliant and we could've listened to him all night! But we stayed in there for a drink and then went to try out the Gin Bar. Yes, they have a Gin Bar! It's situated in the conservatory which looks out onto the grounds, and they have a book with hundreds of gin cocktails to choose from. Oh, and if you have time, book for an afternoon tea in the conservatory too - it looked beautiful!

All in all, I think it's safe to say I fell in love with Galgorm. The staff were so friendly and helpful, and you couldn't fault the stay in any way. It's definitely worth the journey travelling from London so I'm pretty sure I'll be back again very soon. Let me know if you've been to Galgorm before, or if you're planning on visiting! Sometimes life is so busy that we need an escape. It's okay to have some time out for yourself, we all need it at some point. Sending lots of love to you all - please let me know how you are and what you've been up to. Just leave me a comment below or tweet me :)
